Mental health providers accepting new clients in Tennessee

Only providers who have confirmed within the last 30 days that they are accepting new clients appear here. A confirmation lapses on its own after that, so the list stays current. Contact the practice to confirm before you book.

Kia Brewer: What Can I Expect During My First Appointment?

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your experiences and concerns, and begin identifying what you would like to accomplish. You don't need to have everything figured out, and there is no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with. My priority is to create an environment where you feel respected, supported, and comfortable being yourself.

Planning your next step

How current is this list?

Each provider here confirmed that they are accepting new clients within the last 30 days. When a confirmation lapses, the provider leaves this page until they confirm again.

Does accepting new clients mean my insurance is covered?

No. It means the provider says they are taking new clients. Check the insurance and fees on their profile, and confirm coverage with your plan and the practice.

Will I get an appointment right away?

Not necessarily. Wait times depend on the practice and the service you need. Ask about the next available appointment when you contact them.

Compare the person, the service and the next step

Open the full profile to compare the actual profession, services, age groups and appointment formats. A broad search category is a way to explore; the clinician’s own credentials and description tell you who you would see.

Before requesting an appointment, confirm your attendance location, exact insurance plan or self-pay price, and whether the practice has a suitable opening. Use the profile’s appointment, email or call option to ask the practice.
