Kia Brewer: What Can I Expect During My First Appointment?

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your experiences and concerns, and begin identifying what you would like to accomplish. You don't need to have everything figured out, and there is no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with. My priority is to create an environment where you feel respected, supported, and comfortable being yourself.

Amy Gentry: Can older adults see Amy?

Yes. Amy’s Family Hope profile includes adults age 65 and older, as well as patients ages 10 and up. Family Hope does not accept Medicare, so patients with Medicare should look for a provider who accepts it. The office can clarify eligibility and payment requirements before scheduling.

Planning your next step

Does a profile serve everyone in the Adults (18–64) age group?

Not necessarily. The browsing category groups a broad range of ages. The provider’s biography may be more specific; confirm the exact age with the practice before requesting care.

Can I compare therapy and psychiatric services here?

Yes. Each profile shows the actual profession and the services it lists. Therapy, evaluation and medication-management appointments are different services; confirm which one the practice offers.

What should I ask before requesting an appointment?

Confirm the exact age accepted, clinician, appointment format, attendance location, fees or insurance and current availability. The practice confirms the appointment.

Find the Tennessee care you need

Confirm the exact age and service before booking

The Adults (18–64) category is a broad browsing group. Providers may describe a narrower age range in their biography, and different clinicians at a practice may serve different ages.

Read the full profile and ask the practice about the actual age, service and appointment format. For a child or teen, ask who should attend and what preparation or consent the practice requires.
